The contact carrier (10) has an insulating body (12) receiving a number of contacts (14.1,..14.8), each having a contact zone (14.1e,...14.8e) projecting from the insulating carrier, for soldering to a corresponding contact section of a circuit board. The contact carrier has further solder contacts (22.1,..22.4) for physical attachment to the circuit board, their projecting ends having the same form as the contact zones.
