A flame-retardant resin composition comprising an ethylene/ alpha -olefin copolymer (A), a low-density polyethylene (B), and a flame retardant (C), wherein the amounts of components (A) and (B) are preferably 60 to 97 wt.% and 3 to 40 wt.%, respectively, and that of component (C) is preferably 50 to 200 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the sum of components (A) and (B). The composition can be rolled in a wide temperature range, and the resultant sheet can be wound up without stretching it from the rolls. Since the composition has a high melt tension, it has excellent suitability for foam molding and can give a foam sheet which has an expansion ratio of 2.5 to 10, is flexible, and has a satisfactory appearance. A laminate of this foam sheet with a paper base is suitable for use as a wall paper which feels good to the touch.
