The carbon dioxide and C2+ hydrocarbon-rich fraction (7, 8) recovered by rectification (T), is part-vaporized (E2) and separated into carbon-dioxide rich- (10) and C2+ hydrocarbon rich- (12,13) fractions. The C2+ rich hydrocarbon fraction so recovered, is returned (14) to rectification (T). An Independent claim is included for the corresponding plant carrying out the process. Preferred Features: The carbon dioxide- and C2+ hydrocarbon-rich fraction (7, 8, 9), is pumped (P) to a higher pressure, before partial evaporation (E2). Before recycle to rectification, the C2+ hydrocarbon rich fraction (12) is first sub-cooled (E2). Separation of the partially-vaporized carbon dioxide and C2+ hydrocarbon-rich fraction (9) takes place in a separator (D) or a stripper-column. The side-stream from the separated C2+ hydrocarbon-rich fraction (13), which is not returned to rectification (T), is admixed with the separated carbon dioxide-rich fraction (10). |
