The arrangement includes a portable memory arrangement (150) for storing personal and/or vehicle-specific data and drive data. A drive data provision arrangement (10) installed in the motor vehicle, is connected with the portable memory arrangement, automatically providing drive data concerning the date, duration, and the geographical course of the drive, and storing at least part of the provided drive data in the memory arrangement. An Independent claim is provided for a corresponding logbook production method.
