Virtual wind noise generating method for automotive vehicle from computer aided design (CAD) model

The method comprises of creating a mesh (12) around a CAD model (10) of vehicle part, computing transient flow (14) and extracting a set of aerodynamic data (16) from predetermined area of the model from transient flow. Virtual representation of wind noise (18) is generated at predetermined location with respect to CAD model based upon aerodynamic data for producing acoustic representation (20) of virtual wind noise.
