INTAKE MANIFOLD MADE OF SYNTHETIC RESIN AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake manifold made of synthetic resin having high productivity and degree of freedoms of designing and an outlet tube of a complicated shape by applying a die rotary injection method or a die slide injection method, and a method for manufacturing it. SOLUTION: The intake manifold made of synthetic resin comprises a surge tank Mt communicating with a suction supply source via an inlet tube Mi and a plurality of outlet tubes Ma to Md connected at one ends to cylinders of an engine via port flanges Mf and at the other to the tank Mt in such a manner that the tanks Mt and the tubes Ma to Md are formed of synthetic resin. The method for manufacturing the intake manifold comprises the steps of injection molding the tank Mt and the tubes Ma to Md by a die rotary injection method or a die slide injection method, then assembling the both and connecting them.
