PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing pollinosis. SOLUTION: This method for preventing pollinosis comprises evaporating mustard oil or an isothiocyanic ester and inhaling air containing the above oil or the above ester. The isothiocyanic ester exists as its glycoside in natural mustard oil, black mustard oil, or the like, contained in Japanese horseradish, Armoracia rusticana, onion, japan mustard and Western mustard and is produced by the action of an enzyme. The ester exists also as benzyl ester in fruit of Tropaeolum majus and essential oils of flowers. |
