PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car washing agent used for an efficient car washing method capable, for example, of concurrently giving the action of three liquids for washing, foaming and waxing with one liquid, shortening a work time, reducing a car washer installation area and applying a sufficient amount of wax even when the travel speed of a gantry type car washer becomes high. SOLUTION: The composition of this car washing agent is 0.5 to 20 wt.% of an ethylene oxide additive of higher alcohol, 0.5 to 20 wt.% of alkyldimethylamine oxide, 0.1 to 5 wt.% of fatty acid diethanolamide or ethylene oxide adduct thereof, 1 to 10 wt.% of dialkyldimethyl ammonium salt, 0.5 to 5 wt.% of alkylamine salt, 0.3 to 8 wt.% of liquid paraffin, 5 to 10 wt.% of a petroleum solvent and 1 to 10 wt.% of alkylene glycol.
