PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve mounting workability and stability for a vehicular weather strip by changing the inflection point of a flange holding lip, or restricting the deflected deformation amount of the flange holding lip corresponding to the change of flange thickness. SOLUTION: Regarding a weather strip fitted to a flange 2 formed along the open periphery of a body with thickness partially changed, a flange holding lip 15a extended at least from one side wall 12a of a mounting base 11 having a U-shaped cross section is a part corresponding to a thin flange and the foot of the lip 15a is thickened to give rigidity. In addition, an easy-to-bend part is made shorter than a part corresponding to a thick flange, thereby providing uniform and sufficient flange holding strength over the whole length of the weather strip.
