PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the fluctuation of relative sensitivity for an O2 sensor among cylinders, and to enhance a purifying efficiency for exhaust gas in connection with a manifold converter to be mounted on an exhaust system of a vehicle for purifying exhaust gas, and in regard to the manifold converter provided with an O2 sensor controlling and air-fuel ratio in particular. SOLUTION: In a manifold converter comprising a cylindrical container 31 housing a catalyst carrier 33 and a diffuser 21 provided therein, in which the diffuser is provided for the exhaust gas inflow side of the cylindrical container 31, has the plural number of branch pipes 23a, 23b, 23c and 23d connected therewith, and concurrently, has an O2 sensor 27 mounted thereto, and the cylindrical container 31 side of the diffuser 21 or the diffuser 21 side of the cylindrical container 31 comprises a guiding plate 29 provided therein, in which the guiding plate leads a part of exhaust gas flowing toward the cylindrical container 31 from the respective branch pipes 23a, 23b, 23c and 23d.
