PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of rubbing noise with a pad even if rear load from an occupant is applied to a pressure receiving member, and to ensure the operation amount of the head rest completely. SOLUTION: This seat back is constituted of at least a seat back frame 2, a supporting means 7 journaled to the upper end part of the seat back frame 2 so as to rotate lengthwise, a head rest 3 supported by a supporting means, 7 a pressure receiving member 4 which is supported by the lower end part of the supporting means 7 and receives the pressure of an occupant back, and a pad arranged on the front side FR of the pressure receiving member 4. The pressure receiving member 4 is formed of a rigid body. Its cross-section surface is formed into a rough U-shape, and is separated from the rear surface of the pad.
