PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject dichroic pigment composition that can develop high-order parameters, good contrast properties and high optical stability by combining specified dichroic pigments. SOLUTION: This composition comprises at least one selected from the following individual groups: (A) azo dichroic pigments of formula I (-A1- and -A2- are each a benzene ring, a cyclohexane ring or the like; R1 and R2 are each H, a 1-12C alkyl or the like; R3 and R4 are each H, methyl, methoxy or the like) and of formula II (R5 and R6 are each H, a 1-12C alkyl or the like); (B) azo dichroic pigments of formula III (-A3 and -A4- are each a benzene ring, a cyclohexane ring or the like; R7 and R8 are each H, a 1-12C alkyl or the like); and (C) azo dichroic pigments of formula IV (-A5- is a benzene ring or the like; -A6- is a phenylene ring or the like; R9 is H, a 1-12C alkyl or the like; R10 is H, an alkyl; R11 is an alkyl or the like, when R10 is an alkyl).
