PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vinyl ester resin compsn. excellent in storage stability without detriment to its normal-temp. curability by incorporating N-isopropyl-N'- phenyl-p-phenylenediamine (A) in a specified amt. based on the total amt. of a vinyl ester and a polymerizable monomer component into the same. SOLUTION: The vinyl ester is obtd. by reacting an epoxy compd. with an unsatd. monobasic acid (e.g. acrylic acid). Any epoxy compd. having at least two epoxy groups in the molecule can be used without any specific limitation, an exmple being represented by the formula (wherein x is 0-15). The polymerizable monomer component may be a single monomer or a combination of two or more monomers, and styrene, methyl methacrylate, etc., can be used. The amt. of the polymerizable monomer component used is 5-200 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. vinyl ester. The amt. of ingredient A used is 0.001-1.0 pt.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. total amt. of the vinyl ester and the polymerizable monomer component.
