PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently purify drinking water and take mineral content into solution by alternately housing a filter medium or ore pieces and baffle plates whose each diameter is smaller than that of a cartridge in layers and injecting the drinking water. SOLUTION: A water injecting pipe 2 of the cartridge 1 is connected to a faucet of city water or a water source such as a hose or the like connected to the faucet. The drinking water from the water source is introduced to the water injecting pipe 2 and ascends through the water jetting port of the cartridge 1. The ascending drinking water is passed through opening of a filter plate 6 and a filtration membrane 5 and ascends along the baffle plate 7 through the inside, where the filter medium 8 or the ore pieces 8 are packed. Then, the ascent of the drinking water in the cartridge 1 is made slow in accordance with the number of baffle plates. Further, the contact time with the filter medium 8 or the ore pieces 8 is prolonged to more sufficiently purify the drinking water by the filter medium 8 or take the mineral content into solution by the ore pieces 8.
