PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a user from feeling uneasy even if vertically movable armrests are provided and to effectively utilize a space. SOLUTION: In the portable toilet wherein a toilet bowl 8 is releasably provided below a seat 5, each of support parts 41 of an armrest 4 is inserted into a leg part 20 of a toilet body 2 so as to be vertically movable, and a fixing means 42, which fixes the support part 41 in the leg part 20, is provided to position the armrest 4 at a desired vertical location. Thus, the support part 41 are sufficiently held by the leg parts 20, respectively, so that the part 41 is firmly fixed to the part 20.
