PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a refractory suitable for the lining of a kiln by including magnesia-alumina spinel clinker and electromelted magnesia clinker respectively as aggregate, partially stabilized zirconia as a binder in coupling parts and high purity magnesia clinker as an other principal ingredient in a specific content ratio. SOLUTION: This refractory is obtained by including 5-30 wt.% magnesia- alumina spinel clinker and 10-50 wt.% electromelted magnesia clinker (pref. including CaO and SiO2 respectively in 1-3 wt.% content) respectively as aggregate, 0.5-10 wt.% partially stabilized zirconia (pref. partially stabilized with CaO) as a binder in coupling parts and high purity magnesia clinker (pref. having >=99 wt.% purity) as an other principal ingredient in remaining ones. |
