PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspension arm that will help enhance the strength thereof. SOLUTION: An arm 4 is constructed by joining, in a direction E to make an attaching hole, two arm components 41 of an equivalent shape having a generally U-shaped cross section to form a closed section. The two components are joined by performing welding W at a mated joint 8 at intermittent intervals. Since the arm 4 is constructed by joining the two arm components 41 having a generally U-shaped cross section to form a closed section, it offers such a great rigidity to the arm that the arm can positively withstand an input from a stabilizer 2. This great rigidity eliminates the need of a reinforcement plate that has been required in prior arts, which contributes to a lighter weight and simpler construction. This in turn decreases the required number of assembly processes for the enhanced productivity. The two components 41 of the arm share the same shape, allowing them to be manufactured from a single mold, which in turn contributes to a greater production efficiency.
