PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a finished product having characteristics equal to an oak tree or a zerkova tree without the necessity to use a hard wood such as described as a composite handle wood for various kinds of implement to be used in agriculture, a civil engineering work and the like. SOLUTION: This composite handle wood is manufactured by forming a plurality of pieces of a split part body 1a obtained by splitting a handle wood body 1 of a wood having no sufficient strength as a handle wood in the long direction and at the same time, arranging a reinforcing wire 2 of metal, synthetic resin or fiber on the handle wood body 1 and winding a wrapping material 3 around the peripheral face of the handle wood body 1 and the reinforcing wire 2.
