PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new aniline derivative effective against symptoms (obsessive-compulsive disorders or panic disorders) in which satisfiable therapeutic effects are not obtained with conventional benzodiazepines(BZs) without manifesting adverse effects recognized in the BZs. SOLUTION: This compound is represented by formula I [R1 is H, a 1-10C alkyl, a 3-10C cycloalkyl or the like; R2 is a (substituted) 3-10C cycloalkyl or the like (having a substituent group on the ring); X1 is H, a halogen, a 1-5C alkyl or the like; Y1 is a 1-6C alkylene; Ar1 is a (substituted)phenyl, a (substituted)pyridyl or the like], e.g. N-acetyl-N-(4-chlorobenzyl)-2-(benzyloxy) aniline. The compound represented by formula I is produced by a method for reacting, e.g. anilines represented by formula II with an aldehyde derivative represented by the formula OHC-Y2-Ar1 (Y2 is a 1-5C alkylene or a single bond) in an inert solvent, reacting the resultant compound represented by formula III with an N-carbonylating agent in an inert solvent, providing a compound represented by formula IV, etc. |
