PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To write letters on a smooth surface of image by a method wherein an area to be matted is designated in a color image and matting is made at the designated area for matting with minute uneveness formed thereon with a thermal head. SOLUTION: A color image is formed on a thermosensitive color recording paper 10 by means of successive recording of three-color faces. A matting area 41 for making a coarse surface at a part of the color image is designated. Heating is made in stepping-stonelike heating patterns to the matting area 41 when thermal recording is made at a cyanic thermosensitive coloring layer at the lowermost layer. Letters can be written with a ball-point pen or the like on the matted area 41, and thereby an elaborately designed print can be obtained. Since the matting is made during the image recording, there is no need to execute the matting separately after the recording. A print having a matted area can be formed simply in a short period of time. |
