PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a dielectric material having comparatively high permittivity regardless of the volume of the sintered body, a small absolute value of a temperature coefficient of a resonance frequency, and a large no-load quality factor, and capable of stably providing excellent dielectric characteristics. SOLUTION: This dielectric material includes a main ingredient comprising xBaO-yRE2O3-zTiO2 (RE is a rare earth element; x+y+z=100 mol.%), an alkali metal oxide, and an oxygen carrier for supplying oxygen at the sintering time. The oxygen carrier includes a metal compound, and the included metallic atom is at least one kind of Mn, Cu, Ag, Sn, and Pb. Preferably, the oxidation number of the metallic atom is not the lowest. The oxygen carrier of 0.01-5 pts.wt. is added to the main ingredient of 100 pts.wt. |
