PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a down pipe antifreezing device with ease of mounting and maintenance and management. SOLUTION: A down pipe antifreezing device 1 includes a cover material 13 formed with lengthwise recess streaks 21 on the opposed outer faces of a down pipe 2 for facing an almost semicircular portion of the down pipe 2 including both recess streaks 21, 21 and a heating element 11 mounted to be interposed between the cover material 13 and the outer periphery of the down pipe 2 for heating with current carrying. The cover material 13 is provided with a protruded nipping body 15 inserted in both recess streaks 21, 21 of the down pipe 2 in a removable manner.
