<p>A method for three-dimensionally questing a buried structure by moving a questing device along the surface of a medium, radiating a wave signal (4) such as an electromagnetic wave under the ground (1), receiving the reflected signal (5) from a buried structure (2), and generating three-dimensional voxel data including the coordinates (x, y, t) which represent the position on the surface of the ground and the reflection time for the strength of the received signal. The method comprises the object voxel selecting step of selecting one or more object voxels through artificial input, the binarizing step of extracting a group of candidate voxels whose absolute values of the amplitudes are larger than a predetermined threshold and which are interconnected, and the coupling and combining step of extracting a group of coupling candidate voxels to be coupled to the object boxes from the group of candidate voxels and combining the group of coupling candidate voxels to the object voxels to make a group of object voxels. By the method, the position of the buried structure (2) can be determined with a high S/N. Even if a defective voxel is present in the three-dimensional voxel data, a linear interpolation step of carrying out linear interpolation in a predetermined direction in the x-y plane containing the defective voxel is executed to simply interpolate the defective voxel.</p> |
