PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To embody a sea bottom purifying apparatus which is capable of ladling the contaminants, such as sludge, deposited particularly on the sea bottom, together with the seawater up onto the sea and purifying the pollutants on the sea as the sea bottom purifying device for purifying the polluted sea bottom. SOLUTION: The sea bottom purifying device which ladles up the sludge of the sea bottom and subjects the sludge to a purification treatment comprises a sludge suction system for sucking up the sea bottom sludge under injection and agitation, a floating type purification system for purification treatment of the ladled up sludge on the seal and a manipulation arm 2 for manipulating the suction unit 5 which is the injection and agitation section and sludge suction section of the sludge suction system to move this arm freely in the sea. The agitation pipe is provided with a means for generating swirling flow in such a manner that the sludge sticking to the sea bottom may be efficiently injected and agitated. The apparatus is provided with a skirt for preventing splashing so as to prevent the diffusion of the suspended sea bottom sludge to the outside.
