PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize rinsing equipment for filter medium by a method wherein a plurality of rinsing means capable of being selectively operated are arranged in a width direction of travelling filter medium, and a less number of fluid supply sources than the number of rinsing means are connected to the rinsing means. SOLUTION: A plurality of intermittent spray pipes 22 are arranged in a width direction of filter medium 5, and a solenoid valve 60 is disposed to a pipe line communicating with each intermittent spray pipe 22. Those pipe lines are united into one pipe line, and successively connected to a valve 52, a straigner 41, and a pump 31 in this order. Each intermittent spray pipe 22 is equipped with a plurality of pieces of spray nozzles 11 (rinsing nozzles). Since the solenoid valve 60 is installed to each intermittent spray pipe 22, each valve 60 can be selectively driven. Then, the number of pumps 31 are made less than a plurality of intermittent spray pipes 22, each intermittent spray pipe 22 is individually driven, and thereby the pump can be miniaturized as compared with the case wherein they are simultaneously operated.
