PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the hand and wearing feel of a shorts type throw-away diaper by forming a non-joint region on the outer side of the joint region of exterior members which press and hold absorber bodies by enclosing the user's waist from the abdomen and respectively specifying the width of the joint region and the area ratio to the non-joint region. SOLUTION: The non-joint region 7 where the exterior members of both front and rear body sides are not joined is formed on the outer side of the joint region 6 consisting of adhered parts 11 and non-adhered parts 12. Respectively elastic bodies 9, 10 respectively consisting of plural pieces of stretchable and shrinable elastic materials 8 are mounted at the respective apertures of the parts around the waist and around the legs. At this time, the width of the joint region 6 is set at 5 to 10 mm to assure the prescribed strength and appearance and to evade the contact with the user's skin, thereby lessening the uncomfortable feel. The area ratio of the joint region 6 to the non-joint region 7 is set at 1:0.3 to 1:3, by which the uncomfortable feel by the contact with the wearing person's skin is further eliminated and the appearance is improved. In addition, the nabbing of the non-joint region 7 with underwear is suppressed.
