PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire pivot free from the concurrent turn of a waterproofing cap with a pivot shaft during the operation of a wiper device, in addition to the assurance of waterproof between the pivot shaft and a pivot holder. SOLUTION: This wiper pivot has a pivot shaft 22 for fixing a wiper arm 42, a pivot holder 12 for rotatably holding the pivot shaft 22, a waterproofing cap 34 for covering the forward end of the pivot holder 12 and waterproofing space between the pivot shaft 22 and the pivot holder 12. The pivot holder 12 has an engaged part of irregular type formed on the external surface of the forward end. Also, the waterproofing cap 34 exposes the pivot shaft 22 from the forward end part, and has a seal part 36 slidably adhering to the peripheral surface of the pivot shaft 22, a gearing part 37 formed on the internal surface of the cap 34 for gearing with the engaged part of the pivot holder 12.
