PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain good anticoagulant properties without using a polymeric coating film by housing hollow fiber bundles in a main body case and opening one ends thereof to fix them to a partition wall and specifying the inner surface roughness of a pair of the headers respectively mounted on both end parts of the main body case. SOLUTION: In a hollow fiber module 1, as a material of a cylindrical main body case 5 and headers 2, a hard resin, for example, polycarbonate is used. As the material of the hollow fibers 4 packed in the cylindrical main body case 5, for example, polysulfone is used. Further, as the material of the partition wall 3 supporting the hollow fibers 4 in the cylindrical main body case 5, a thermosetting resin such as polyurethane or the like is used. By setting the inner surface roughness of the headers 2 to 0.8μm Rmax or less, excellent anticoagulant properties are applied. When the angle formed by the inner ceiling surface of each header 2 and the partition wall 3 is set toθ, this angleθsatisfies 4 deg.<=θ<=10 deg. pref.
