PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sufficient healing effect, to make a thick bedquilt effective for oversensitiveness to the cold and the stiffness of the shoulders and to make the thick bedquilt excellent in a deodorizing action and in an antibacterial action by mixing sintered powder and granular body made of one kind or two kinds or more of aluminum, titanium and barium based compound and tourmaline powder granular body in fibers for wadding. SOLUTION: In thick bedquilt, the surrounding of wadding 1 is wrapped by fabric web 2. As the wadding 1, polyester fiber of 1.5 to 6.0 denier in fiber diameter and 38 to 60 mm in fiber length, for instance, is used. A mixed body made of 40 wt.% of tourmaline (5μm in grain diameter) and 60 wt.% of sintered powder and granular body (5μm in grain diameter) which is mainly made of BaTiO2 is mixed in a raw material by 5 wt.%, polyester fiber is spun and thereby the wadding 1 is made. Or, a mixed body made of 50 wt.% of tourmaline and 50 wt.% of sintered powder and granular body mainly made of Al2O3, TiO3 and BaO is mixed in the raw material by 15 wt.%, polyester fiber is spun and thereby the wadding 1 is made.
