PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the control device for a cylinder injection type internal combustion engine which can correct an injection timing, ignition timing and always keep a favorable engine operation stability when a rotation change becomes bigger than a prescribed value. SOLUTION: This device is provided with an injection timing set means (c) for setting a fuel injection timing by a fuel injection value based on the operation state detected by an operation state detection means (b), an ignition timing set means (d) for setting an ignition timing by an ignition plug based on the detected operation state, a stability detection means (e) for detecting the combustion stability of an engine (a) and a correction means (f) for correcting the fuel injection timing to the more advance side than the set fuel injection timing when the detected stability is dropped than a prescribed allowable range and correcting the ignition timing to the more lag side than the set ignition timing or correcting the fuel injection timing to the more lag side than the set fuel injection timing and also correcting the ignition timing to the more advance side than the set ignition timing.
