PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To help the passenger feel minimum senses of being swung around when the lawn mower makes a turn thereby improving riding comfort in making a simplified riding type lawn mower equipped with a hydrostatic transmission on each of its propelling wheels. SOLUTION: For each of a pair of right and left rear drive wheels 2, 2, a reduction gear case 4 which axially supports the rear wheel 2 and a hydrostatic transmission(HST) 5 which provides an output to the reduction gear case 4 are mounted. An engine E is placed in the rear of the rear wheel 2 and a center case 6, which distributes and transmits engine power drive to the right and left HSTs 5, 5, is located at the front of the rear wheel 2. In addition, a mower 3 is installed at the front of the rear wheel 2 and a driver's seat 33 is mounted above the center case 6.
