PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire for a motor vehicle that realizes improvement of riding comfort and weight reduction without sacrificing controlling stability. SOLUTION: A carcass 2 is formed of a ply as an organic fiber chord arranged across the distance between a pair of bead cores 1, 1 in the radial direction, which serves as a framework. In the pneumatic radial tire, a crown portion of the carcass 2 is reinforced using a belt of a plurality of layers. The crown portion of at least one ply of the carcass 2 has a missing part 5. A carcass auxiliary layer 6 is provided close to the missing part 5. |
