PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink jet printer in which the liquid from a recording head can arrive accurately at a set position on the recording face of a recording medium regardless of fluctuation in the speed of the recording head by employing a recording head having modifiable liquid ejection timing. SOLUTION: Based on a data DN from a counter 54 and a recording operation control data group DD, a recording head operation control section 64 forms drive control pulse signals PY, PM, PC, PB and PT in synchronism with a dot clock signal DCL from an ejection timing correcting section 62 so that recording operation is performed at a recording section 12 only when the recording section 12 and a carriage member move in a specified direction. These signals are delivered to respective recording heads at the recording section 12. According to the arrangement, ink and processing liquid ejected from each recording head arrive at a set position on the recording face even if the moving speed of the recording section 12 and the carriage member fluctuates. |
