PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure prescribed yield strength by providing through holes penetrating in the vertical direction on a buttress, providing stepped expansion sections on the inner peripheral face of each through hole, and providing a node-like space in the through hole. SOLUTION: A pair of right and left buttresses 6 is extended backward from the rear face of a front wall 5 to form a block main body 3. Oblong reinforcing bar insertion holes 4 extending in the longitudinal direction on the plan view are formed on each buttress 6. Three stepped expansion sections 4a are formed at intervals in the vertical direction on the inner peripheral face of each reinforcing bar insertion hole 4, and a node-like space 7 is formed in each reinforcing bar insertion hole 4 to form a block B for a retaining wall. At the time of execution, the blocks B are stacked to construct the retaining wall, concrete is filled and reinforcing bars are inserted into the reinforcing bar insertion holes 4 matched in the vertical direction, and a reinforced concrete column is formed in the reinforcing bar insertion holes 4. The reinforced concrete column can be integrated with a main body 3 by three node-like sections, thus prescribed yield strength can be secured.
