PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hair-conditioning composition giving excellently finished hair enabling smooth passing of fingers and having softness and flexibility. SOLUTION: The objective hair-conditioning composition contains (A) 0.1-5 wt.% of a 16-18C saturated monohydric higher aliphatic alcohol, (B) 0.1-10 wt.% of behenyl alcohol, (C) 0.1-10 wt.% of an ester oil exhibiting solid state at normal temperature, (D) 0.1-10 wt.% of an ester oil exhibiting liquid state at normal temperature, (E) 0.01-15 wt.% of a silicone derivative and (F) 0.001-2 wt.% of a polyethylene glycol having high polymerization degree. The compounding weight ratio of A/B is 1/(1-2).
