PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substructure of automatic transmission, which can decrease the risk of a solenoid contacting even if a collision of the vehicle undersurface has caused deformation of an oil pan. SOLUTION: A control valve assembly 12 is installed on the undersurface 11a of the body 11 of an automatic transmission, and an oil pan 6 covering the undersurface 13a of the lower body is installed at a certain spacing in between, and a primary duty solenoid 15 is partially provided protrusively on the undersurface 13a of the lower body 13. In this substructure of automatic transmission, ribs 18 protruding toward the oil pan 6 as positioned adjacent to the primary duty solenoid 15 are consolidatedly formed on the lower body undersurface 13a.
