摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a photoreceptor which has high sensitivity and durability and provides a high-quality image by forming a layer contg. a specific charge- generating material on a conductive support. SOLUTION: This photoreceptor is obtd. by forming a 0.01-5μm-thick charge- generating layer contg. a charge-generating material represented by the formula and a 5-100μm-thick charge-transporting layer on a conductive support comprising a metal, a metal oxide, or the like. The compd. represented by the formula is obtd. by reacting a metal compd. selected from among metals, metal oxides, metal chlorides, metal complexes, etc., with an o-dicyano compd., an acid anhydride, or an imidization product thereof at 100-250 deg.C in a solvent (e.g. an alcohol). The charge-transporting layer is formed from a charge-transporting material comprising a hole-transporting material (e.g. an oxazole deriv.) or an electron-transporting material (e.g. nitrofluorenone). In the formula, R1 combines with R2; R3, with R4; R5, with R6; and R7, with R8, to independently form a 5- or 6-membered ring; and M is a mono- to hexavalent metal or two hydrogen atoms.
