PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lubricant for plastic working of a metal, not containing a harmful component, capable of preventing the seizing at the plastic working without conversion treatment, and having excellent lubrication properties. SOLUTION: This lubricant for plastic working of a metal contains (A) 1-80 pts.wt. zinc dialkyldithiophosphate, and (B) 0.5-40 pts.wt. one or more kinds selected from a group comprising an over basic sulfonate, a carboxylate, and a salicylate of an alkaline earth metal, when the whole mount is 100 pts.wt. The lubricant can prevent the environmental pollution even if the lubricant is disposed because the lubricant contains no harmful component, manifests excellent lubrication properties in the plastic working step, and can prevent the occurrence or seizing even if chemical conversion is not applied. |
