PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spindle device capable of carrying out grinding work of an inner peripheral surface of a cylindrical member an inside diameter of which is small, etc., at high speed and with high precision by further miniaturizing the spindle device. SOLUTION: It is constituted of a quill shaft 1, a rotor 3 on which a tool 10 is installed, a stator 2 fixed on the quill shaft 1 in a state where it is inclined at a specified angle in the axial direction of the quill shaft 1, a radial dynamic pressure bearing to support rotation of the rotor 3 against this stator 2, a pair of thrust dynamic pressure bearings to regulate movement of the rotor 3 in the axial direction and a driving wire 4 inserted into the quill shaft 1 and to transmit rotating motive power of a motor to the rotor 3.
