PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved toilet and a skirt to be attached to the toilet which can prevent a user's clothes or legs from contacting a rim of a bowl and from becoming dirty. SOLUTION: A toilet seat 5 is mounted on a rim 3 of a foreign style toilet bowl 1. In this case, a skirt 7 is provided to cover the outer side surface of the forward portion of the rim 3. By covering the outer side surface of the rim, when a user sits on the toilet seat 5, the user' s legs or clothes can be separated from the rim by the skirt 7 so that the legs or clothes are not brought into direct contact with the rim of the bowl, thereby preventing the legs or clothes from being soiled.
