PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain new nucleic acid probes containing a single chain nucleic acid sequence selectively hybridizing a DNA region of mRNA of heat shock protein positioned at a specific position on a human chromosome and a transcription region to the mRNA and detecting the transcription abnormality of the subject mRNA, etc. SOLUTION: The new DNA and RNA probes selectively are substantially single chain nucleic acid sequences capable of hybridizing a DNA region of a messenger RNA of heat shock protein of 70 kilodalton (Heat Shock Protein 70 kd mRNA; HSP70 mRNA) positioned at the 6p21.3-22, 14q22-24 and 21 on a human chromosome and contains nucleic acid sequence numbers 90-810 of the formula and are useful for detecting intracellar HSP70mRNA transcription abnormality in human acute and chronic continuous stress loads. The nucleic acid probes are obtained by subjecting a human cDNA library to PCR cloning by using a synthetic oligonucleotide primer composed of a partial sequence.
