PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon crucible used for pulling single crystals and enabling stably repeated operations for pulling the single crystals such as single silicon crystals. SOLUTION: This carbon crucible for pulling a single crystal comprises a carbon fiber-reinforced carbon composite material (C/C material) in which a projected bottom member for fitting into the depressions of a crucible receiver is formed on the bottom portion of the crucible. Therein, at least the bottom member is formed from the C/C material having multi-dimensional woven structure comprising a three or more-dimensional woven structure, or carbon fiber tows are vertically woven in the bottom member to integrate the bottom member with the bottom surface portion.
