PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a food capable of expecting effective preventing effects on food poisoning considered to be caused by contamination of microorganisms such as the genus Salmonella or Shigella by daily ingestion thereof. SOLUTION: This fermented food is obtained by using a Lactobacillus amylovorous IMC-1 strain capable of producing an antimicrobial substance having an antimicrobial activity against microorganisms causative of food poisoning as an inoculum and fermenting a food material with the inoculum and contains the antimicrobial substance and the Lactobacillus amylovorous IMC-1. The food is produced by mixing the fermented food with cow's milk, a fruit juice, etc., or a raw material mix for an ice cream, etc., and processing the resultant material. |
