PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil feed device which can eliminate the risk of shortage of lubricating oil in each part to be lubricated by feeding a certain quantity of lubricating oil to the part quickly in the initial period of a rotary shaft restarting, etc., without preparing any proprietary oil sump for each part to be lubricated around the rotary shaft. SOLUTION: This oil feed device 11 is furnished with a first oil passage 15 formed in a rotary shaft 13 along its axis and fed with a lubricating oil from an oil supplying means and a second oil passage 17 formed on the rotary shaft 13 as directed from its periphery to the first oil passage 15 for allowing to open at the periphery of the shaft 13 and feeds the oil in splash to the periphery of the shaft 13 from the second oil passage 17 through utilization of the torque of the shaft 13. The communication part of the first oil passage 15 to the second oil passage 17 is made a diameterically enlarged part 20 to function as an oil sump when the rotary shaft 13 is at a standstill, and thereby quick oil feed is accomplished in the initial period of restarting.
