PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent ink from being leaked on both edges of a paper is a stencil printing apparatus for performing printing of a paper by means of a plate cylinder and a roller. SOLUTION: A plate cylinder 200 has a pair of coaxial discs 100 and a peripheral wall 204 wound on the circumferences. An opening 205 exists on the peripheral wall. An inner roller 106 and an outer roller 101 are respectively provided in and out of the plate cylinder. The width in the axial direction of the opening 205 is larger than the inner roller 106. A flexible sheet 300 on the outer peripheral face of the peripheral wall is projected inward of the opening 205. The projected edge part 300a is at a position approximately coinciding with the end edge 106a of the inner roller. Thickness of the sheet 300 is the same as thickness of papers 108. A stencil raw paper which has been already processed is wound on the peripheral wall and the plate cylinder is rotated. A paper is fed between the plate cylinder and the outer roller. The paper is transferred while it is pinched between the peripheral wall and the outer roller to perform stencil printing. A space 211 generated between the paper and the flexible sheet is communicated with the inside of the plate cylinder through a gap between the edge part 205a and the end edge 106a. Ink 210 which comes out is returned into the plate cylinder through the gap. Leakage of the ink does not occur.
