PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To equip with a running type industrial robot having printing roll automatic exchanging function, capable of being applied for the exchange of printing rolls for all printing units. SOLUTION: A running type industrial robot is equipped with a robot hand R2, pinching end faces of both sides of a printing roll while avoiding the roll chuck of a printing unit, which chucks the printing roll, and printing units 4-13, 24-33 are arrayed in the running area of the running type industrial robot while the running truck R3 of the running type industrial robot is provided with pallets capable of loading unused and used printing rolls. Upon exchanging the rolls, signals, demanding a necessary operation to a partner mutually, are transmitted and received between a computer 42 for controlling the robot and other computers 43, 44 for controlling printing units whereby the running type industrial robot exchanges the printing rolls.
