PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recycling treatment method for gypsum boards generated as waste building materials which is capable of efficiently sorting the gypsum boards to gypsum raw materials, paper and metals with high accuracy and high purity by executing not only the sorting (vibration sieving) thereof by grain sizes but the sorting (inertia sorting) thereof by specific gravities as well and is capable of supplying the regenerated gypsum products of the accuracy and purity meeting consumers' requirements and a treating apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: A crushing stage 136 for forming the raw materials sorted from the gypsum boards by crushing the gypsum board generated as the waste building materials to the prescribed gain size or below, a vibration sieving stage 142 for sorting the raw materials sorted from the gypsum boards to one or more raw materials to be sorted by inertia of a prescribed grain size range and one or more inertia sorting stages 144, 146 for removing org. matter from the raw materials to be sorted by inertia are executed.
