PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a septic tank of a microbial degradation type wherein excrements are evenly dispersed in a culture medium in which soil microorganisms live, and hence the excrements can be effectively decomposed. SOLUTION: Turning forces are transmitted from a motor with reduction gear 11 to two rotation axes 14 in a septic tank 10 through a chain 12 and a sprocket 13. A plurality of mixing blades 15 are mounted on each axis 14. The mixing blade 15 is formed in such a manner that slits are formed radially in a disk-like material and each slit is then extended intermittently along a boss 16 so that a portion, wherein the slit is formed intermittently, is formed and such portions are bent at any angle alternately in opposite directions. If the blades 15 are randomly spaced apart and at an angle, excrements are mixed into globular culture mediums, and if the axes 14 are oscillated in the axial direction, the excrements can be mixed much better.
