PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an extensible rod whose length can be easily adjusted by freely extending a rod body, however, preventing it from being contracted by a rolling body and the regulating the change of the length of the extensible rod in the direction in which the extensible rod is contracted without using a screw. SOLUTION: In an extensible rod, an inner rod 1 is slidingly mounted on an outer rod 2. A guide member 5 is connected to one end part of the inner rod 1. The guide member 5 is provided with a rolling body mounting part 7 having an inclined surface 8 extending downward to the end part of the inner rod 1. Then, when a rolling body 9 is mounted on the rolling body mounting part 7 and a rod body is slid so as to contract the extensible rod, the rolling body 9 is pressed to the outer rod 2 to prevent the rod body from sliding.
