PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate pinching of a finger by a runner by clogging a gap having a possibility of pinching the finger by a lower ring covering the runner by constituting an umbrella so as to be provided with a soft protective tube and to wrap the runner by the lower ring of this protective tube. SOLUTION: A runner 16 covers the outside of a runner 5 before a middle bar 2 is passed, an upper ring 17 is introduced into an upper part of the runner 5 from space of stretchers 10 and the middle bar 2 is assembled by a method passing the middle bar 2 in the order of the runner 5 within the lower ring 16, the upper ring 17 and an inside cap from the lower side. When this umbrella is opened, the runner 5 and an upper spring 3 engaged to the runner 5 are wrapped by the lower ring 16. When the umbrella is closed, the runner 5 and a lower spring 4 engaged to the runner 5 are wrapped by the lower ring 16. Because the upper and lower springs 3, 4 deform the lower ring 16 and are operated from the lower ring 16, the springs 3, 4 are protected by the lower ring 16 and pinching of a finger is eliminated. A connecting part 18 covers and hides tips of holding needles 14 of the stretchers 10 and eliminates damaging of the finger by the tips of the needles.
